XZP 9.0 update

Hello everybody I have recently used my xz premium again, I'm currently using 8.0 oreo and there is no option that I have 9.0 pie update. I've checked the site with my imie and it said that I'm using the latesf software. My phone is brand new and unlocked, but when I had a problem with it during warranty, they changed the main board for me. Any ideas?

No @BobZM, your firmware is also official. All the firmwares are costumized to a region or country, or a network operator.

The one the service center installed when they replaced the motherboard is just from a region for which the latest build available does not have Android 9.

As I said you can solve it by flashing a different costumization.

Hi @BobZM ;

It all depends on the firmware Costumization Version you have installed. You can check yours on the service menu dialing *#*#7378423#*#* under Software Info.

Hello and thanks for your time and reply.

I dialed the number and looked for the section you told me about, but I didn't find an answer. What should I exactly look for in there

Hello again @BobZM ;

When you are in the Service Menu go to Service Info>Software Info, what number do you have under Costumization Version?

Hi @NunoSEN2

I appreciate your time for this

Under customization version I get the following number

1308-6242-R2B

Although the active customization number is the same

@BobZM ;

This means you have a Costumized MEA firmware installed, for wich the latest build number available is 47.1.A.16.20, is that the one you have (check under settings >system >about phone)?

The only solution you have to get the latest firmware with Android 9 released (47.2.A.10.107) is to flash a firmware with a costumization from another area or country or if you are not comfortable with it ask the service to do it.

Hello dear and thanks for your support

Yes the build number is the same as you've mentioned

But does this mean that the software I have is being customized and not the official one? Because during warranty period the dealer changed the main board for me

Thanks again

My advice is DON'T UPDATE TO 9.0!

There's been a lot of phones (including mine) that are now crashing with the "update".

This update is crap.

Not only has it disabled my fingerprint reader, it is now appearing to run every app in the background and thus crashing the phone repeatedly.

Restart doesn't help as it crashes again unless you use a task killing app. Then you can use it for a while before it does it again.

I WAS happy with my xz but now I'm suspicious of Android sending out updates to kill off older model phones so you're so annoyed that you want to get rid of what you have! Conspiracy theories abound.

Just search for xz premium crashes and you will see..........
