Constantly being asked to set default home app

I had downloaded a third party launcher and selected Always as the default, but every time I exit an app, it constantly posters me to select the default home app. I've tried deleting the cache and force quitting Xperia Home, but that didn't solve the problem. I then deleted the third party launcher, but am still getting asked to choose the default between Xperia Home and Xperia Simple Home. Even when I select Always for the Xperia Home launcher, I still get asked each and every time I exit an app.

It's asking because when you install a 3rd party launcher, the phone will unselect the default home launcher.
To set a default, go to settings, home and select the new launcher you want to use as a default.
