Okay Google not responding.

I have my phone set to respond to okay Google on any screen, however it does not respond at all. I have double, triple. and quadruple checked my settings. Why is it not responding?

Already tried that about 15 or 20 times. That is not the answer.

Do you have a voice recording or call recording app they are known to cause issues with OK Google.

Sorry to hear that.

Looking at the reviews for the Google app on Google Play, there are many reports of this with the latest versions and also on different phone models so it might have to do with the latest version of the Google app.

You could perhaps try to uninstall updates for the Google app from Settings -> Apps and see if that helps.

I also recommend that you keep checking https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox for updates.

It was the new Google app. Uninstalled the update, and now it works fine.
