Hi everyone. I have opened a topic about the sound distortion in the beginning of any sound on device. Alexdon[http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/7878] helped me very much. But i have noticed something different.
I did a factory reset and a clean install the latest update. Whenever I receive a message, call, whatsapp message etc. (or something that causes a notification sound or call sound), the sound freezes a bit or some cracking or lag happens just before starting to play. I tested it both with normal boot and safe boot. Is this a hardware or software problem? I need some Sony Stuff to help here. I have read all Xperia Z1 forums and some people have this problem. And it is on my Xperia Z1 Compact. This is a suberb phone and I need some help. Can I really need to go to Sony Service? or Warranty?
And is there anyone who has this problem?

Anyone involved in the tech hardware industry knows that what these companies are selling is time. Generally we accept when we buy a phone or other gadget that it will keep up with the performance trend for only a certain amount of time. All hardware manufacturers know this and they pace their releases. Sure, they could put out 2016's smart phone now but they would be missing out on years of product releases....time.
With that in mind, when we go out and buy Sony's high priced new phone we expect that the time we are buying should be quality time, especially in the beginning. By acknowledging one month ago on this very thread that this issue exists and they know whats causing it and then dragging their feet and giving us a degraded experience during our purchased "time" Sony is ripping us off. By the time they fix this issue this phone will be worth less than it was when we bought it, we will have "consumed" some of the time which the device was supposed to be at peak performance.
This is really a sad display of support by Sony, but I have been with them for a few generations of phones and I'm sad to say, it's always been like this. I just so happen to need a waterproof phone so I stick with them, but the day I can live with another brand's phone, I'm jumping ship.
My Z1C has been updated to .761 and the stuttering notifications are still there. So I guess when they said the next update they meant the one after next, and I suppose when that comes out they'll actually mean the one after that. This is getting beyound a joke!
Hey Sony!
This bug is annoying and embarrassing! As many others said before: this is not supposed to happen with a device in this price range!!
FIX IT!

"a month ago". Well, you would expect them to fix an experience breaker bug within a few days specially when already identified.
But oh well. I have a lot of patience, but maybe if you would stop making so many phones and focus in a few perfect ones, things like this would be addressed as they should.
You should at least enable or provide an official way to downgrade when problems like this show up and you know you'll take months to fix.
I just bought my Z1 Compact and having the same issues with the crackling / stuttering notification sound. Really annoying when you buy a 400 € device.
I come from Blackberry Bold 9900 and I regret audio spec!!!
HATEFUL crackling sound problems with my new Z1 Compatc with .757 build.
When the phone rings, it's shameful!
It's not acceptable for this phone-price. In Italy 499€!
