Throw to Sonos

Throw to Sonos

Both my Sonos speakers appear as options when I select throw from the walkman app on my Z3 Compact. If I connect to either one of the speakers the app reports it as connected and stops the sound on the phone speaker but there is no sound from the Sonos speaker.

The Sonos works perfectly and is connected by ethernet to the same network my phone is connected to by wireless.

Looking around the web there seems to be various reports of Sonos working successfully with throw on the phone and other reports of no sound. Has anyone got any advice on how to start troubleshooting this?

In order for Throw to work, your system needs to be DLNA compliant and also act as DLNA Media Renderer. From what i could find, i'm afraid Sonos does not support DLNA: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1111/kw/dlna

But it looks like they have an app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonos.acr), perhaps you can stream your music using that?
