Xperia Z5 Series + Android 6 - No Mass Storage Connection to SDXC ?

Why can Z5P only connect to the PC via direct phone connection? Mass Storage connection to SDXC is not supported and no option to select mass storage when Auto select option displays.

The mass storage mode (MSC) is removed from Xperia devices running Android 4.4 and later and we don't support it. To facilitate the transfer of data via a cable, the Xperia devices support the Microsoft standard, Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), which makes it possible to easily transfer content back and forth between your device and a computer.

MTP is 50% slower than drag and drop. My Z2 has MSC

I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't noticed any difference in performance myself but i'm afraid that to access the SD-card in MSC mode, you need to remove it from the phone and then use another device like a card reader to connect it to your computer.

I checked a Z2 on 5.1 and you are indeed right. The information i have says it's removed on Xperia devices with Android 4.4 and later. But i do know it's no longer supported on our latest models.
