Hi users, please lend a hand to help others...
Xperia 1IV (XQ-CT72) has a physical dual sim capability. Yes it doesn't have dual active, but for this device on the same sim the internet data calling is problematic. See below!
1. When on sim 1 there is a setting option DATA DURING CALLS and while calling the internet data can be used for internet actions. But when on sim 2 even it's a more important sim than sim 1, the DATA DURING CALLS is missing in the sim settings and never being able to activate internet while calling.
2. The situation between sims is complicated to some users and very often the MOBILE DATA is changed from an operator to another sim 1 to sim 2 (changing often the payments, offers and others). What that means it must swap sims from its physical place or what?
Please help!
isn't there an option in the settings to enable only 1 sim to handle data?

The help from your side is appreciated, but the issue is not solved there. It results that sims must be swapped, and it's really unpractical and unpleasant... This situation appeared after Android 13 upgrade as we know, or it must be improved. If sim1 is locked for different reasons, then isn't fair for a 1500 euros device sim2 not to have the option DATA DURING CALLS like for sim1?!
If you had a Xperia 1iv (xq-ct72 device), you would know... Please help being in the situation.
Thank you!
Was that option available on the phone before Android 13?
Yes.
Hello @AlexandruRai, since it was already available so it might be a software bug, I'd actually recommend a software repair, hopefully that will help but make sure to create a backup first to avoid losing any of your data.
Was done... Why all these answers come from outsiders?!
Who has the issue please help, or please send this to Sony...
Thank you!
@AlexandruRai, this is a community forum not Sony's customer service, we're just trying our best to sort this out for you. You can reach the Sony reps directly though.
Well sort it like you have the device... Or, please tell to support...
