My RX100 has failed and when switched on, simply shows a pattern of repeated small horizontal lines on the screen display. Some camera functions do not work but menu selection etc. is OK. The screen itself is OK as it shows images when functions selected and the Mass StorageUSB link is OK. I have re-initialised the camera, updated firmware and fully charged the battery. None of these made any difference.
Has anyone else experience of this problem and, if so, did it require a hardware repair?
You tried everything I would've tried. I guess this means a repair, hopefully in warranty.
If not, I would live with it, if it doesn't really bother you or have a great impact on user experience.
