I am not a child and some answers were insolent...
Sony should be aware of its fans and help them taking note of these issues\forums...
If you are such a kind and smart now, where can I find the true Sony representatives?
Thank you!

My first answer was a bit short.
So was your initial question.
It's a good thing that you explained a bit more.
@RottenFoxBreath gave you some good hints on how to act if things aren't going as expected.
I agree with @RottenFoxBreath about installing Google Lense and about deactivating and reactivating as well.
On my own Xperia 1 Google Lens didn't function as well. I noticed it after > half year of use once I wanted to scan a QR code. I installed the Google Lens app and everything worked like expected.
In my experience with Linux and Android I have often overseen to start basic or just not been reading all instructions.
- How is it in safe mode? Maybe there is a self installed app interfering.
- Did you goto settings -> apps & notifications -> find the camera app and the Lens app -> storage -> clear cache & clear data?
- There is another possibility that Google lens cannot be implemented in your software region. Remember that the fingerprint scanner was disabled in the USA due to patent issues?
- When nothing works or when a search is too time consuming I always take the shortcut and do a Software repair with Xperia Companion.
- Lastly there is the Support app on your device with tips & tricks and the it gives you the best option to get in touch with Xperia Support. Ask them, maybe they can help you.
One last thing.
Watch how other people see things, acting respectfully, like Barack Obama for example.
