I have an HX30V and am trying to set up the Wifi. When I press either "WPS push" or "Access Point settings", all I get is "Network error occured" and I can do no more. I have tried holding the camera inches from the Router but never get a screen displayed asking for network password etc. The manual tells me to select from the list of access points but I only ever get the "error" screen. I live in the UK where the HX30V was not sold but I was assured by Sony USA that the Wifi would work, the reason I bought the camera. I'm sure it is me being daft but cannot think of what to do.

Hello daddy_v - Welcome to the Sony Forums
Unfortunately holding the camera up close to the router won't normally resolve this kind of issue in my experience. First of all, it may be a good idea to take the camera to another house to see if it can detect networks in another location. If it still will not work, I would advise trying to reset the camera's settings back to their factory defaults. This can be done in the 'Initialize' menu which can be found in the main settings - there is more information about this here:
Thanks,
Simon
