If I zoom in during shooting a video from my new (2 weeks) Sony DSC HX1 then it error on the point I zoomed in during video recording. If I doesnt zoom in then whole video plays smoothly without any problem.
Its only when I zoom in that the video goes all rainbow colors, pink lines starts to appear. I can still hear the audio though. This happens while playing the video on the camera only. If i plug the SD card to my computer then the same video plays smoothly.
Something like the attached image is displayed from the point I zoomed in.
Should I ask for a replacement? Is this is known issue?

Hi vizhy2010,
welcome to Questions & Answers..:smileyhappy:
As you HX1 is new I would take it back to the retailer and either ask them to test it or ask if you can check another HX1 to see if it happens on another unit..
That way you'll know if your model either needs to be repaired or exchanged..:smileywink:
