SONY PS-HX500 power supply

Hi,

I have a spare iFi iPower2 5V/2.5A power supply and I'm thinking using it with my SONY PS-HX500 turntable.

According to the user guide, the TT uses an AC adaptor with DC 5V/2.0A output.

Has anyone tried that combination?

Should I try pair them or will damage the TT?

There's an amperage difference that I'm concern of.

Amperage can be the same or higher without issue the turntable will lock it at 2A of its needs.

If it was lower then it would be no.
