Hello community,
I'm trying to connect my Xperia J to the AUX port of my car radio to listen to the music. It will not work. I tried to connect it using a 3,5mm TRS and also with a 3,5mm TRRS phone connector. It just doesn't work.
With the iPhone of a friend it works fine, thus the cable is okay.
When using the headset everything is fine. I can listen to music.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi,
I tried again the cables and got me a new TRS cable. Now everythin is fine.
Thanks.
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
If you are using a TRS cable it should not be a problem at all, have you tried a different TRS cable? Have you tried to connect the phone to a amplifier throu a 3,5mm TRS to RCA cable?
If you are using a TRRS cable, it needs to be with a CTIA standard to work (for more information see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phone_connector_(audio)#TRRS_Standards ). Note that even if the cable follows the CTIA standard, it might also need more power than the phone can deliver.
Since it works fine with a headset, it sounds more like a compatibility issue with the cable or stereo.
