How to restart Sony xperia sp when it gets hang up

My phone Sony xperia SP hangs up and unable to restart the device. It is really hard to be like tat for long time. Pls anyone help me ASAP.

Hold down on/off button and volume up until you feel a vibration (phone will restart)

Hold down on/off button and volume up until you feel 3 vibrations (phone will turn off)

Hey buddy. When your Sony Xperia SP hangs, just remove the sim card. It will restart automatically.

well you just need to take off back cover and press the off switch with a pin/pen above the led stip on the back

Thanks a lot buddy.. I have just started using XP 2 wks back and suddenly Touchscreen did not respond. But using your solution it is working back.

Any permanent fix for this or root cause for this?? Pls advise

Open the back cover.

There is a slot with Off written on it.

Put a pen in that slot and press till the screen is off.

It will restart the phone

I will never remove SIM card when the phone is ON.

It can be dangerous for the SIM card, i personally broke one removing with phone ON.

Push the reset button.

It's safer to do that.

Do this by only pushing the reset button on the back of the phone after removing the backcover.
