Locked Out

Can anyone please help with my problem.

The date & time etc with the blue background with a LOCK symbol in the bottom left of the screen and a SPEAKER symbol in the bottom right hand side of the screen, I cannot seem to be able to carry out any functions.

This is the screen lock, you should be able to place your finger on the lock at the left and slide it across to the right to open up the phone.
