Please help, can't delete shortcuts from homescreen

Hi, i know how i should delete them, i just hold my finger on shortcut for few seconds and drag it to the recycle bin at the bottom. The problem is, even when i do that, the shortcuts stay where they were.... Any suggestions?

restart ur phone then try..

If Slimshaddys instructions do not help then try the following,

Menu > Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All > Homescreen > Clear Data.

This will remove all apps from the screen.

could you please take time to answer my question about the 2.3.4 update.

It has been up for a couple of days and it is a really simple question and i am surprised no one from SE has answered it on any of the channels (youtube/SE Blog/SE Support forum/SE facebook).
