Power\lock button does not respond

Hi,

The power/lock button stopped responding sometimes(while trying to come out of standby). Till now, I have been attributing it to the delay/lag with the 4.3 update. But, now with 201, since sony says there are no lag issues, I'm just thinking could this be a hawdware issue. If anyone could help me figure it out, it would be great as my phone is still in warranty and I can get the hardware fixed.

im having the same problem and after calling support they got me to switch my phone off through my xperia z1s n guess what i cannot power it on anymore

I have an xperia z. I can turn it on, no problem and I can lock the screen no problem, but when it comes to unlocking the phone, I press the power button and nothing happens. I can get to the home scteen by putting it on/off charge and the button works as I said to turn on/off or lock but cannot unlock it.  Any ideas?
