Hello
A problem developed on my xperia sp today. When I make a call I can't hear the other person unless I put the phone on speaker. they can hear me. I've checked everything I can think of on the settings and restarted the phone. Any ideas? Thank you

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I suggest that you download the application "Xperia Diagnostics" via Google Play. From this application you can test the ear speaker.
If you cannot hear anything from here, a software repair via PC Companion would be recommended to exclude software related problems:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/
In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.
Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.

Hi I have the same problem sometimes, its when I use the headphones to listen to the walkman app.
What cures it for me is to listen to music and pull the headphones out while the music is still playing.

Hello,
It looks like the Walkman App is messing with the phone.
