Bravia picture fault???

My Bravia KDL40V3000's picture has gone like a photo negative, can anyone advise please??

I had the exact same problem on my EX720. Al efforts like power cycling, factory reset was in vane and since it luckily still was under warranty I had the retailer send it to service repair.

Afterwards I noticed that the service repair basic panel calibration exceeded the initial factory calibration by far, which actually made me very suspicious of the Bravia picture fault root cause.
