Does anyone know of any specific USB memory sticks or hard drives that are compatible with this model, for the purpose of pausing live TV? I know that these sets are often fussy about which type of device is connected, so wanted to check before I purchase one. A memory stick would be preferable due to price and convenience.
I tried a TDK 16gb stick today, I set to record and got a message on screen saying that this product does not accept anything under 32gb. I left the 16gb stick in the TV just to see what would happen. It recognised the device but did not record. So, it seems a 32gb stick or above should work. Hope that helps.
I bought a Kingston 64GB DataTraveler R30 from Ebuyer for £38 ..

Unpacked it, registered it and passed the HDD tests. Quick enough to record and playback simultaneously and large enough to avoid the, 'disk nearly full' messages. Room to record about 25 hours of HD. Quieter than an HDD and a 5 year warranty.
A bit dearer than some, but probably twice as quick as cheaper USB flash drives when used on a USB2 port.
I've just order a 32gb Sony MicroVault USB stick at a very reasonable price-
Should arrive in a few days.
Hopefully it will do the trick.

Does the TV allow live pause and rewind of live TV ? You do realise you can't watch something else while recording unless you keep the pvr. My Humax
Can I record onto a memory stick using the timer function on the TV not bothered about pausing TV
