Sony KDL**HX923
Should i be worried, apparently complaints are comming in already for this new tv on dark verticle lines either side of the screen!, i have seen this before on the LG i had that went back for a full refund as it was the area where the ribbon cable joins at the screen for the backlight (could be seen from the front) i had 3 of them and the engineer said its not right, heres the pics of the Sony.

Hi,
Been there, done that,
and it was August build, which incidentally is not relevant anymore as build process remains unchanged.

I made a deal with my reseller that i can switch the tv in october for a september build. I was under the impression that the creases should at least be minimized for newer builds. If that is not the case, there is no point in waiting for newer builds. What options are there if this tv is not able to get rid of the creases? The upcoming LG nano led tv? Or wait altogether for 2012 models of Sony and hope they dont exhibit the same or other "features"?

3rd replacement is much better, only has a very, very faint crease on the left now...
I would also be very interested in peoples feedback on this "fix": http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showpost.php?p=21012134&postcount=7108
Some input from Sony would be great (but unlikely I guess)...
Cheers

JJ,
thats interesting, i wonder why this has not been mentioned by Sony or even if they have ever used this process to fix the issue assuming that it would work.

Has anyone received the "two" extra 3d glasses that StarttheCar had promised to people who had "crease" issues and had opted for a replacement? I don't seem to have received anything so far.
