Please can you help.  My sound on my tv bought only on 12.12.20 as of today just goes up on it's own to max.  Volume.  I have changed the batteries in the remote.  Tried to update software but its failed to add the most recent.  White led at bottom is flashing all the time as if someone is pressing remote button.  Number of factory resets.  Please I'm going mad

Seems like a remote issue, try taking the remote out of the room and use the TV buttons to control it instead.

Hi thanks for the suggestion.  I have tried that but not worked.  I have been onto sony and managed to update the software but not resolved anything.  I now have to wait over a week till I can get an engineer to call.  Anyone else had problems that sony wont help me resolve quicker. I know they dont open weekends but my tv was only bought 19th december and I have been without since 3rd jan.

Have you also tried resetting it to factory settings?

Hi.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Yes I have a number of times but not resolving the sound and blinking lights issues.

Can you tell us more about those blinking lights?

Hi.  Thanks for trying to help.  The blinking light issue is underneath the screen where the remote signal is received.  The white light there after a few minutes comes on and blinks constantly as if receiving a signal from the remote.  Problem is the remote is in a  separate room with no batteries in.  The sound then rises as if someone is putting the sound up to max level.  If you try to use the buttons under the screen to control the tv it just fights against it.  When it finally responds the sound conti uses to go all the way to the bottom and zero sound.  After a few min of no sound off it goes again.  All the while the white like is blinking as if getting a remote signal.

I'll try passing this to my Sony contact to see if there's something they can do about it.
