Suddenly unable to view BBC iplayer

Suddenly no longer able to view bbciplayer on my Sony smart tv circa 2013 model KDL-55W955B.

Have tried switching off power and refreshing internet content but to no avail. This model is listed nowhere that I can find as to whether it can or can’t view iPlayer any longer. 
Had a similar issue a few years ago with Demand5 (now My5) but this is ridiculous! Any ideas please?

Me again: our model is on the list as being ‘supported’ so don’t understand it

Hi @Sambo54   If you are running the latest firmware then you may have to accept that the latest BBC iPlayer has evolved beyond the capability of your TV’s hardware.

Thank you for taking the time to try to help! 
have just tried what you suggested and since our firmware is indeed already .006EUA I don’t think I am able to find a solution to this one. It’s a pity BBC iPlayer hasn’t updated its list so I would know for definite that this model is now ‘out of date’. I have been using a Chromecast though (to stream channel 5 and others) which is amazing and would recommend it.
