I have an old sony vaio laptop VPCEE25FX, it is nowadys slow for my job and I would like to upgrade the cpu and also use SSD hard drive .
But there is not any information about the motherboard chipset though!.I need to know what is the highest and effiect processor that I can swap it with mine? the original CPU is athlon II P320 dual core 2.1 GHZ.
based on this article
Phenom II P960 4 core is a good upgrade? or differences in core stepping negatively affects the functionality and efficiency?
does the motherboard support also SSD hard drive on SATA port?
This is a Sony USA Model and there will be better support in the US.

Crucial seem to offer a SSD upgrade 7mm using a 9.5mm adapter - so this should be OK.

Your Vaio seems to have the AMD Athlon II Dual-Core P320 (2.10 GHz) installed in the socket S1g4. This is an entry level processor equivalent to Intel's Celeron T3100.
Not sure about the processor but for cooling reasons, I would stick to a 25watt one. I wonder if the 4 core P940 or P960 will be compatible. You will probably need to contact AMD.
