Hi, I performed a software update today and now the home screen will not launch, just cycles through blank to the front page and so on.

I am unable to access any apps and the phone is virtually unusable.

I've tried restarting it several times without success and I don't want to do a full factory reset in case I lose important text messages 

Has anyone else had this issue and resolved it?
