Mirrorlink Xperia X Compact

Does this device support MirrorLink connectivity ? Found on some sites that supports version 1.1 but I cannot find it in the Settings Menu. Will this function come in a upcoming update ?

I have the same problem and the same question.

In my new car it would be very necessary to use some features with mirror link.

So is there any way to upgrade this feature to the x compact??

I stil wonder why this can't be done!

I still want to use this mobile but if this won't work in the near future i'm afraid I have to switch to another model.

I bought an android car stereo for the main reason to mirrorlink my Xperia ☓ compact which worked fine while it was on android 7.x Noughat. However recently my phone was updated to android 8.0 Oreo and since then the mirrorlink feature has stopped working.

Is there a way for Sony to fix this issue??

me, too, would be interested to hear if there is any possibility to get the MirrorLink functionality to the Sony Xperia X Compact.

@Billah, has this actually worked on your phone before your update to Oreo?

If so, is it possible to downgrade the phone from Android 8.0 to Android 7.x?

Will the X Compact likely get an update to Android 8.1 in the near future and is there the chance that this update includes MirrorLink?

I can't say anything in regards to future updates and there's unfortunately no way to downgrade to the previous software version.  

The mirrorlink worked great before the Oreo perfectly. I always thought  software update was to make the features better  This is the opposite way round. Looks like I'll be getting rid of my Xperia ☓ compact and get something else that's not on Oreo.

I don't understand why Sony shay's that as it worked perfectly well before the 8.0 Oreo update.

I have Experia X and it has Mirrorlink application(s). However in new car, when USB connected, screen reacts with connection but ultimately fails to replicate mobile screen to car screen saying unable to find link in device? Get my audio & can make calls etc via bluetooth fine and as car has own built in Sat Nav ok with that, but really would like Mirrorlink functionality to work also. How might i be able to fix this?

There is no fix for it.

Its not Sony but rather, Google that has stopped mirrorlink support from Android version 7/8.
