Post Software update setup wifi connection

Hello all,

My F8132 had a broken screen so I got it replaced and my power button caused my screen to freeze.

So I decided to reload Android via Xperia Companion, software repair worked as advertised.

Went setup after software install, intital steps all work and then I have to connect to WIFI. It wont connect.

I try to use mobile data, does not work as well.

I have read every topic on the forum here and tried them all over 2 days. Change IP, reboot router, all suggested fixes and no joy.

I even tried to use the boot unlocker and Emma but I cant use the phone dialer becuase of incomplete setup (emergency dialer does not work for this).

What am I missing? Am I stuck?

Check if your battery is charged > 80% and do the software repair with Xperia Companion again.

Finding out what went wrong is of a job and a new setup probably resolves the problem.

Good luck!

No difference, same result. Cant connect to internet, connecting to wifi is not problem.  Wifi and data, neither work.

Then skip automatic APN setup.

Go to your providers website and find the proper APN settings.

Goto settings-network & internet-mobile network-APN or access point names

Create a new APN, save and use that one.

I probably was not clear enough:

When in setup after a software repair,

I am asked to:

Choose language

confrim sim card

Connect to wifi

Once connected, phone goes online to connect to Google for some part of the OS.

This is where it fails, I can connect to wifi but it says "No internet connection" .

All solutions related to the working with a functoning OS  "system" via menu are not possible.

The OS setup cant be completed, therefore I cannot continue.

My earlier hint was about setting up mobile network.

Is your WiFi network functioning as it should?

Have you tried another WiFi network?
