Reboot, reboot, reboot...

Hey guys,

I didn't found a similar topic, maybe you guys have an idea...

Yesterday before goin to sleep my Xperia X Compact has 8% battery left, I connected it to the power supply and went to sleep. Next morning the phone reboots -> black -> Sony logo -> "powered by android" logo -> black -> Sony logo -> android logo -> black.

I tried some combiantions like hold powerbutton for 10sec, power and volume up etc. now it changed from sony logo -> andro -> login screen -> reboot/black screen.

I tried to connect to pc's but it wont work. anyone got a similar problem and maybe have an solution?

thank you Slightly_smiling_Face

You may have to use Xperia Companion and follow the directions for the software repair. It might involve holding the volume down key when connecting the phone to the computer with a USB cable. In that case your phone would be reset and you would have to use a Google backup afterwards.

In general it's not a good idea to let your battery drain below 30%, if at all possible.

Thanks for your reply. I used Xperia Companion but I says no phone connected. But I can't connect via windows too - there is an error with MTP driver, PC tries to install it from the phone but after a while it says fail. I also tried to manually install the mtp driver via sony website and tried windows help but it wasn't successful. I removed the SD-card too with same result.

I think I have to send it to Sony and hope they can repair it - at least I still have warranty..

How did you get the phone to recognize it was connected to the computer?

@jp241

Try connecting your phone to a PC using Xperia companion on the computer. There is a special mode that's used for software repair (as a last resort, as it will reset your phone).

If you haven't tried this already, Xperia companion will give you instructions.

Thanks but I followed the instructions. Nothing. The phone just blinks red and green. Companion never sees it.

Sorry, but it sounds like you will need to bring it in for repair in order to fix the problem.
