Xperia SP WIFI range ISSUE

Hi, i have just bought Sp 2 days back

I am facing wifi range problem the device does not catch the range where my other phone catches the range at good wifi signal strength.

the distance is like 3 to 5 meters less then my black berry

Is there any settings that i need to see for the wifi range.

I am also thinking about a refund, or a new Xperia SP, if that would make a difference. What would be the best is swapping it for an XZR (which probably is unlikely to happen)

I already swapped with a new SP but turn out to b the same, testefalso xperia S also same issue, that is why im refunding to switch to Samsung or Apple. This phone is piece of shit in terms of wificonnectivity

I spoke to the toll free number for Xperia support. The person said reset mobile, reset router, select static ip for wi-fi network etc. None of this worked. Then he said there is a problem with my router! When I said lot of people are facing the same issue, he said thats not the case. Wifi is fine in the phone! Its such a shame ...

I contact my distributor and will do a refund too.

I'm really annoyed of Sony.

I am similarly annoyed and disappointed with Sony. Too bad, I got the Xperia SP on a two year contract plan. With this kind of quality and service level, I am certainly not getting another Sony phone in the future Angry_Face

Update from Sony Support Team..

"

Hi,

This is still being looked into by concerned project.
If you want a refund you must contact your local support team or retailer to check for those options.

Different markets/countries have different rules and policies.

I am going over to the service centre (Bishan Junction 8 - Singapore) later this afternoon. Besides the wifi issue, I just realised that the phone has no 3G data connection. My wife and I use wifi most of the time, and only realised this problem last night. Will check the rules and policies here in Singapore and keep you updated.

Valkyrie, are you going to ask for refund also?

Keep us posted.

Good luck bro!
