My Xperia Z suffers from in call earpiece speaker intermittent problems. Fixed when rebooting the phone for anyywhere between 10 second and 3 minutes of in call hearing. Call heard via bluetooth, external speaker, headset, but not by internal speaker. Have factory reset, and even gone as far as flashing the stock ftf for 4.4.2 (230). Tried reverting to 4.3 and problem still there.. Sent to Repair centre who state that they performed a software update. Of course works instantly after that, but then problems have resurfaced with regular use less than a week after.
Will now check with safe mode, and uninstalling Smart connect as per a related topic.
Hi Mike,
I also have the same problem. It's been away to Sony for a repair, come back and still has the same issue. Sony tell me that it may be one of my apps that are causing it. They tell me to do a re-set and install my apps one by one. That should take a test period of (if I do two apps a day) 46.5 days!!!
Not happy at all. You had any luck in sorting it?
Regards,
Kevin
Hi,
Same Problem here! And I have no idea how to solve it...
Sounds like what ive been getting over the last few days so much so that ive started using its handsfree or via load speaker? Has anyone managed to fix this yet?
My phone is over a year old and having the same issues. I have to use the speaker or I am not sure is someone is speaking to me. It is so frustrating. I use this phone to for my business as well as personal calls. Is there anything I can do? Likely over my warranty and can't run the business without a phone. Please help.
I appreciate all feedback.
