Help. Front camera picture is curved

The background picture in front camera is curved. Is this normal?

This issue is outrageous. And i bought the phone off ebay because they dont sell it here.

This statement was about back camera with motion eye, and the issue you're commenting on is about the front camera. So it doesn't apply to it.

Another thing: this statement was an early one, and there is a more recent statement by the official Sony Mobile twitter account that we're getting camera improvements soon with Oreo update.

XZ1 and XZ1C are already on Oreo and there is no improvement.
