XZ2 & Android 10 - 52.1.A.0.532

Just received Andoid upgrade to 10 52.1.A.0.532 - most of the functions seems to work without any hassel. What I recognized is, that the fingerprint reader is responding with a much bigger delay than before - seems to be a high lag time. Anybodey else with same xperience or any other issues?

All the same problems

- fingerprint delay

- battery drain

- loading and/or graphic lag

- Connection issues with Wi-Fi and provider

And old notifications keep popping up especially from FB

Checking Google play services for update as suggested few comments ago didn't help was already at newest version

So..... and given all the issues from 10 days ago (6th Jan 2020) vis the Andriod 10 update, I emailed Sony with my problems - not all of them - just the ones about the phone!

They got back to me today the 15th January 2020 to suggest a 'software repair' via Xperia companion'. I have done this today; a complete software installation again (of Android 10), only to find that my 'tethering error' remains. So, for me, the solution did not work!

I will wait for my XZ2 to complete all restoration of apps before I look at other issues. If you are going to try this make sure you backup all your personal data (or like I did, transfer it to my replacement phone - the Galaxy S8 for me, which all works rather well and frankly I will keep as my XZ2 replacement).

For those that have emailed or otherwise contacted Sony support; what suggestions/answers did you get?

Please post a reply..... I guess we are all somewhat frustrated since we (I at least) liked the XZ2 before the Android 10 update....

Sony support's advice to do a software repair appears to be a standard reply: it did not work for me!, all the XZ2 issues remain unresolved.

This appears to be a bit of a disaster for Sony; I am writing to their UK head offices; Sony Europe B.V. The Heights, Brooklands, Weybridge, Surrey, KT13 OXW, United Kingdom. CEO is Barend Ezechiels.

I will be writing by snail mail in the morning.

I've got an answer - 'software repair' via Xperia companion. After my second apply they'd said that information about bugs was passed to software engineers 😎

What a disaster for Sony.

No way I update my XZ2 to Android 10 until everything I fixed.

Same answer to me: via Companion, Software Repair...

I'm  not going to do it... Taking into account that for other users has not worked.

Emailed European Sony support and requested a downgrade; here is the reply;

".... we cant downgrade the Android version running on the device as we are awaiting the release of Android 10.1 to resolve the version 10.0 issues. Your understanding is highly appreciated." [15.01.20]

So we too wait......
