After update to Android 6 I can't choose different notification sound

After update to Android 6 I can't choose different notification sound and SMS sound. it`s always the same.

I choose Settings -> Sound&notifications -> Notification sound

but when I choose sound in "Messeaging" App for SMS, the sound is the same as notifications.

I already try clear data and cache for messaging app. Meanwhile when I use third party app for SMS everyting is ok.

The thing is, I want to use built in app for SMS.

i also faced this and after struggling i found that....its because of apps permission... just grant the app permission to access local storage...than you will be able to set different notification tone.

Go to Apps under Settings navigate to messaging app...than to permissions .....turn the local storage button on....bingo its done..
