Android 4.4.4 rollout

Just like any other update you have to wait for it to be approved and released in your country, if your phone is or was locked to a carrier/network branded, it will be up to them to approve and release the update, not Sony

I am from India . I bought an unlocked Sony xperia z2 d6503 and i assume the phone is from hong kong . 

it has kitkat 4.4.2. when i try to update to kitkat 4.4.4 it says NO UPDATE AVAILABLE . but in India kitkat 4.4.4 is available . what shud i do ? someoneplease assist me

Hi, this may depend on what Carrier/Network Provider you use in India......once they approve any update then they will make it available to you :smileysmileywink:

I have been having some problems updating my Z2 (D6502) from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4. Its been around one month since the release and I had no luck finding the update in update center, neither in pc companion. Its shows my device has the latest system updates. My friend has a Z2 (D6503) and he got the update but I wasn't able to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, is your friend on the same network providor/carrier as yourself........the reason i ask is because the update has to be 'approved' by your carrier/network providor before they issue the update :smileysmileywink:
