Is there any way to turn auto space off after selecting a predicted word? It's mega annoying!!!!!!!

I think that you are looking for the following setting: Settings > Language & input > Xperia Keyboard > Symbols and smileys > Automatic space.

The only thing that I can think of then, is that you have turned off "Word suggestions". If word suggestion is set to not help anything with the writing, automatic space will be greyed out.

Word suggestion can also be found via Settings > Language & input > Xperia Keyboard > Word suggestions.

Nice one cheers. Switched suggestions on then was able to turn off auto space. Switched suggestions back off and it's fine now.
