Broken screen

I dropped an object from around a foot onto my device which is now unresponsive due to the fact that the screen is cracked. The display still works and seems fine other than purple-like waves when pressed.

I am looking to repair the screen myself as i want it to still be waterproof and i would like a genuine Sony screen, where can i buy a manufacturer's screen for my D6603? Or alternatively how much would Sony charge for the sceen replacement/part?

As for replacing the screen, its not that hard, just make sure to watch the guide, have the correct tools, get the LCD/Digitizer from ebay or amazon, etc and make sure to buy the double sided tape.

Keep in mind that DIY will void the warranty.

I have sent Sony an email regarding a quote for a replacement, however if I do it myself I would like to know where i can find a guarenteed genuine screen for my phone.

I'm not 100% sure but ebay or amazon should do just fine, you can also contact your local Xperia Care they might be able to sell it to you, perhaps.

So in the end i got a quote from the repair center.. If anyone was wondering in the future how much it will be without sending it in for a z3 d6603, its around £120 for just the screen..

Cheaper and safer than buying on Ebay! Thanks for the responses guys shipped it off today!

I can't do that
