Calendar not syncronising

Following a reset to factory settings to clear xyz has stopped worked errors - (this worked!) i have not been able to sync my calandar with out look on my PC via PC companion.  It can read the calandar entries by not syncronise them

 I get the message "Sony PC Companion has stopped working."  I have uninstalled and re installed PC companion but still no joy.  Please help me as this is a critical function for me.

Could you elaborate? When is it that you receive the message "Sony PC Companion has stopped working"? Are you able to start the synchronization or does PC Companion stop before this?

One thing that you could try is to choose your calendar folder manually in PC Companion to see if this can help. In PC Companion press start at Calendar > Start on Calendar Sync > Choose how to sync > In the step Computer setup, press "More options" > At the tab "Personal data selection", press properties for calendar > Mark "Select a folder" and press "Browse" > Choose your calendar and press OK and then try to synchronize again.

to elaborate it stops during the preparation phase but i have tried your suggested solution and it works!  Thanks you so much - this has been bugging me all week.
