Checking if phone is unlocked

Hi. Im currently wanting to unlock my xperia z1. And need to check if it is locked to the network or not. Have been able to access the service info > sim lock and all the entries are blank except the top one NETWORK ( see picture) where there is a X in the box. Does this mean the phone is locked to the network, as they are telling me it is not. Any ideas ?. Any ideas

It means the device is locked and you have 5 attempts to unlock it.

You most probably will have to buy the code.

Two options

1. contact your carrier network and request the code they might sell it to you or give it free of charge 

or

2. buy it online, websites like unlock4cheap

Yes it would seem locked. Getting unlock code from network for free
