I don't particulalrly like the supplied headphones and would like to get some that are better. I am aware that not all headsets are compatible - certainly one that I tried was rejected. Is there a list of headphones that are compatible or is there a particular characteristic I need to look out for when buying a new set?
Thanks,
Chris

I'm afraid we don't have any list of compatible 3:rd party products but if you got a message about your headset not being supported it probably had wrong standard on the plug. For 4-pole headsets there are two standards, OMTP and CTIA. You need a headset with CTIA-plug (see http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Problem-using-headset-accessory-not-supported/m-p/347872 for more information).
If you buy a 3:rd party headset with that has several buttons there may also be issues using those buttons depending on what products that headset is made for.

Thanks, that is what I needed to know.

Hi, you could try for instance a store like HMV who have various set ups of headphones on display for you to try......i'm sure there would not be a problem trying them out on your phone :smileysmileywink:
