Could repair service restore my lost DRMs?

Hello,

My brother unlocked my Z3 without telling me first. Now that my warranty is lost I wonder if I could apply for the repair service to restore the DRMs at a fee?

It will be expensive, as you have to replace the motherboard which is the most expensive part of the phone, it might cost you almost as much as a new phone

You should contact Sony Xperia Support to find out if they can/will do it.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I have contacted the ofiicial channel and they said they wouldn't offer service to a rooted device no matter what. So much for their upfront attitude about supporting developers.

I have applied the DRM restoration patch however it seems to make my device unstable with random reboots (either the patch or the required custom kernel for the patch).

Anyways, I'll live with it since the my device seems to last twice as long on battery after much customization made possible by rooting.
