Earphones No Longer Supported?

I updated the LiveWare on my phone and after doing so it will no longer support my earphones even though I know they are fine because I use to use them all the time. It does not support my aux cable for my can either or any other earphones. Can somebody let me know what the problem Is? I suspect Sony have decided to be bellends and have made it so that only sony brand accessories are compatible... If so..... Sony are wankers!!

Have you tried to clear data for smart connect?

You are assuming, try this instead

settings > apps > all > smartconnect > clear data > restart your phone > check again.
