I bought in April 30th ,Sony Z2, L50T China Mobile customized version, and then the phone could move by itself auto, that named "ghose touch".

Next day,i found many people who have this L50T ,their phone also have this problem, please pay attention to the customer experience, timely information feedback and solve. Thank you.

Phone not even month old, screen sometimes goes crazy and it's like all screen is getting touched by numerous invisible fingers same time, sometimes I have to switch phone of and sometimes just not using phone for some time helps. It writes in viber, ir starts sending invitations and posting in Facebook, moves apps in home screen and does more random stuff, also disconnects phone calls, is there a fix for it or shall I take it back and never go for Sony again? (this is my first ever Sony product that I did like untill all these glitches appeared)

how many times have you played the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv-34w8kGPM

That could be the source of your problems?

1: Are the phone being charged when this happened?

2: What version is your currrent firmware?

3: Does this happened after you install any apps?

3a: Can you list the additional apps you installed on your phone?

3b: Is it possible for you you to do a factory reset and see if this happens with no additional apps installed?(please backup your data first)

I'm asking all these because I'm trying to narrow down and find a common ground for this strange behaviour.

Phone not being charged, all original, newest updates, not big fan of many apps, so no, no installations after 2 days of getting phone, don't want to proceed with factory reset as cause is unknown and don't fancy doing it every month

SInce the phone is fairly new, I would suggest that you do a factory reset. Or better yet, do a repair. If it's not caused by corruption in the ROM itself, then it's mostly probably a technical issue. That's why I suggest you do a repair first with PCC. If the problem still persists, send it back for service or exchange if it's still possible.

Edit: Ignore the 'factory reset" because I doubt that will solve it. DO a repair if you can.

Same problem. Had the phone for a month now. issue started adter 3 weeks. i have tried factory reset twice and didnt install any apps but it didnt work.

when i unlock the phone and go to the test touch screen in settings it works perfectly, problem seems to start after a few minutes , and i tried the touch test and it glitches.

seems that i have the same issues as everybody else in this thread.

Im going to try the repair thing to se if it solves the issue

The issue is a hardware defect. Even the slightest bit of moisture or debris on the phone's screen registers as a touch. The only solution to this problem is to keep your screen 100‰ free from moisture and debris, as it is simply a design flaw in the phone.

Yeah that seems like the most logical explanation. But for a device like that, such a flaw is unacceptable ! So the only solution is really to keep harassing the customer service until they change your phone.

To keep you updated as I said I would, I sent back my phone through my phone carrier for a second time. This time the guy wrote exactly the symptoms as I told him, and I showed him on the phone using the "multi-touch tester" app (very nice to seem how crazy your screen is ! I managed to get 5 touches at once with only one finger...). On top of that, the usb port's lid was damaged, it kept opening in my pocket and even got detached from the phone (so much for waterproofing...).

When the phone came back from repair, it was still as crappy as before (all they did was the same useless software repair as the first time, and nobody even touched the lid). I immediately showed to the guy from my phone carrier's customer service that sony basically did nothing, and then he gave me a brand new z2 from a closed box in replacement.

So right now I have a new phone with no flaw, everything's shiny, but I'm still afraid to get that kind of trouble again.

But anyway you have to keep complaining if you want to get a properly working phone. Hope it can help some of you !

PS : if anyone from sony here reads this, I'm really disappointed for the inefficiency of your customer service. And please stop sending me any kind of satisfaction inquiry, I guess this post is enough.

If it's just moisture or debris has anyone tried putting a screen protector on it? Probably won't work but it would be nice if there were such a simple fix. I am on my second Xperia play. I smashed the first one after it dogs this for a month and irritated me to no end. The one I'm on now last night abruptly decided that it was January fifth 1980 and that I had missed 52 calls. I am also wondering if there is a way to turn down the touch sensitivity...
