Global Search on the phone

Hi,

I wanted to make a search on all my phone : applications, SMS, and so on, and I wanted to have a widget or something like that to do that.

In fact : it's the same behaviour that you can find on the iphone (I believe the name is 'finder') : when you slice down : you have a proposal to search all over the iphone.

I wanted the same kind of things on the Xperia Z3 compact.

For the apps,you can search directly through the app drawer. Not sure about others though.

There is also the option to search using file commander,that would be only through your files. Not working with SMS.

Hi Tiblam,

Unfortunately the handset does not supply this natively, other than where Alexdon has stated. I suggest you try the Play Store to see if  you can find a third party app that would allow such a function.

Hi,

in fact, it works with the google search bar, the last time I opened it, it asks me if I wanted to configure it for browsing all the phone, and it's wonderfull , because it works too with "ok google" ...

It gives me the result on the web, with a tab with the result on the phone ...
