Hard Reset Button broken

Hey guys, my Z1's hard reset button is broken. Is it possible to get it replaced with a new one from the Sony Service Centre ? As the replacement procedure will require opening up of the phone's back glass panel, will it affect my Z1's waterproofing after the servicing. I am facing trouble to reboot the phone when it hangs without the hard reset button. Please help me out guys with a possible solution.

Hi, the best thing to do is simply contact them & ask.......if you damaged/broke it then i'm afraid it wont be covered under warranty but the service centre will obviously clarify this, if you do put it in for repair then make sure you clarify that you need to know that it will be waterproof after the repair thru a Vacuum Test........the link is below.....good luck :smileysmileythumbsup:

You can also do a hard reset by holding down both the volume up and power buttons untill you feel 3 vibrations - Not one on it's own as 3 will come soon after if it helps

Will holding down both the volume up and power buttons affect the phone's settings or data ? Is it just a hard reset or a factory reset ?

Those buttons I mentioned are just another way of pressing the red reset button - Nothing is lost or deleted - Your phone is simply switched off
