Saving photos and videos on SD card by default

I just bought a new Xperia Z2 mobile. I inserted a Samsung SDXC 64 BG micro sd card. After selecting "save photos to SD card by default" option in camera setting, I took pictures and it gave a message "Memory Error" and the pictures weren't saved on SD card. I tried doing this a few times but didn't work. Please guide me how to resolve this issue.

Reformat the sd card, fat 32. And try again. If that doesn't work. Try a different sd card to check that it is not just a problem with the sd card.

But does it find the microSD correctly? Try the above suggestion, maybe use a low level format tool.
