Hi all,
Just bought a Z5 15 days ago (retractation delay in France is 14 days, no kidding...) and i am experiencing the same problem of accelerometer yesterday and today gyroscope as well (tests done and failed). The worst is not the autorotation problem but both the photo and video camera are shooting pictures upside down (awfully annoing....)
I tried about everything i could find around.
I will leave my Z5 on safe mode for a while but it doesn't solve the problem while running on safe mode
Very disappointed by this phone. The problem appeared yesterday suddenly after i tried the smile detection, the next picture i took was upside down and autorotation stopped.
Has anyone experienced the same problem of camera ?
Could it be the subject of a new topic ?
Well, i restarted it after a few hours on safe mode and the bug (or deffect sensors) is still there.
My question since it's a new phone is : Should I change it for another brand of phone, exchange it for a new Z5 ( with the risk of having the same problem after a few weeks with a new one), have it fixed by sony under warranty, or wait for marshmallow with a phone taking upsidedown pictures ...?
I already tried all kinds of starts, both repair and reinitializing the firmware with pc companion and I did contact the customer service (they gave me a number and will send me a envellope for return) but what should I do ?
Thank you uliwooly
So you think, as I do, that it's an hardware deffect ?
No need to wait for marshmallow hoping it would fix the problem ?
I have cutted the sim card into nanosim so I cannot use my faithfull Nokia N8 as backup phone
I will look if there is a way of taping the sim back on some kind of minisim support
You should send it in to get it inspected, remember not to use cut out SIM cards with your device as it can cause issues.
