Sony Xperia Z settings change - sync, screen brightness and screen timeout

I have a Xperia Z and have generally not had any problems until now - I've noticed that the screen brightness turns down to lowest and adaptive screen brightness switches off, ONLY Google account sync switches off (email accounts are fine) and the screen timeout changes from 2 minutes to 15 seconds. My touch tone options also change. I havent noticed if there are certain conditions that causes these to change, but I kniw that I don't have low battery mode on. Thanks in advance if you know what could be causing this

Also data roaming randomly switches off, even when I have good H+ signal. I've forgot to check if this is related to the others above, but I'll post again when this happens

It sounds just like something that the low battery saver feature could do. But if that feature is not enabled something must be acting up. Try reinstalling the phone software using SUS.

That should clear any glitch that might be present causing this.
