Two issues that are frustrating me: backing up photos and mobile data.

For about a week now I've had an alert pop up on my phone stating that my "Storage Space Is Running Out".  Today is the first chance I've been able to connect my phone to the PC.  I'm trying to export my photos from the phone to my PC so I can clear some of the memory but trying to figure this out is DOING MY HEAD IN!  It was so much easier with the iPhone. (I could by am SD memory card but the **bleep** things aren't cheap here in Australia).

Can someone please explain in simple terms how I go about this?

The second issue is that with my phone plan, I have a 1GB data limit a month and I have a widget on the home screen telling me how much I've used etc.  The other day I got a "Data Usage" alert on my phone, which I have set to 1GB and to warn me when I'm near my limit (I've set to alert me when I have 100MG remaining).

I don't want to turn mobile data off.  I have my phone automatically connect to wifi when at home.

Please help me before I smash this phone.

Ok, so whenever you connect your phone to a PC, look on "My Computer" for the Xperia Z2 then click on internal storage then look for a folder called DCIM and click on it. Then click on ANDRO100 inside that folder are your pictures and videos.

Even if you have WiFi on, if you send or receive a MMS you will use your data not WiFi. As for the widget, I'm assuming its a third party app or it was preloaded by your carrier/network, you will have to contact the app developer regarding that issue.

Thanks Phy....would it therefore be safe to delete the photos off my phone now that I've moved them onto the PC?

No problem. Yes, it should be fine. I would just double check and make sure I can open and see some of the photos. But yes go for it.
