Hi
My phone is acting very weird - google play doesn't work, screen lock works randomly, it's very slow, battery drains fast etc. So I wanted to do a factory reset. Unfortunately I haven't found a method that would work.
- nothing happens if I try through settings
- I never reach recovery mode with any key combination when starting up the phone
- The phone is not found when I connect it with USB to computer so PCC is not an option. Using original cable that came with phone.
- I found several codes that should do factory reset but they don't work
I haven't installed any new apps for ages so I have no idea what could be the problem. I could even guess it's a virus or something similar.
I could access safe mode, but doing things there doesn't help either.
Thanks!

Hi
I tried with another computer and it didn't help. Also another cable didn't help (borrowed from a friend).
When I was trying these things the battery was about 80%. So I kinda gave up and left it charging, and when I looked at it again it had performed a factory reset by itself. Don't ask me how that happened - I didn't touch it. But it seems to work ok now, so all's great.
Thanks a lot for the speedy help and support!
So if you go to settings - backup and restore - factory data reset, nothing happens? What about PC companion, why do you have problems connecting?
Hi, thanks for your answer.
If I go to settings and press the "erase everything", it simply does nothing. Nothing happens.
I cannot tell you why I can't connect via USB - nothing just happens and the device is never found. I've tried a bit different positions with the cable in case it's a connection issue, but doesn't help.
Can you try to change connection mode to MTP?
Tried MTP, same thing.
Noticed that it doesn't even charge while using USB. I know my USB ports are ok (and tried all of them).
Thanks.
Checked those instructions. I tried another computer but don't have another cable - this cable is usually working just fine in other usage so it's probably not that.
So with another computer, you encountered the same issue? Other cable could be an option too.

Awesome, perhaps it needed a specific battery percentage. But good news.
