Unable to move photos from phone to sd card

I have transferred some photo's to my phone via Media Go. I wanted to transfer them to the sd card but

it will not give me the option in storage to do so. It will allow music and video to be moved but not photo's!

I have only just got the phone and wondered if this is normal? I've always been able to previously. 

I'm given the option with Photo's from the camera!

Did you try with file commander?

Is it in Media Go you don't have the option to move the files to the SD card? 

Can you see the SD card in the file explorer on your PC? 

You can try to change the USB connection mode under settings > Xperia Connectivity  > USB connectivity to see if you experience any difference.

Getting some trouble with my Xperia Z1 Compact. Cannot edit (move/copy/cut/delete) any media file on the intern memory. (DCIM map)

I can see all files and transfer them to my PC/Laptop via MediaGo but i want to make some space free, so want to move media files to SD but getting an error messag. FileCommander ap says: Read Only bla bla bla.. Why? Should i root my phone to get full acces to my own private files?
